Satta was born (1974) and brought up in Germany. From 1997-2003 he studied Product Design at the Bauhaus University Weimar (GER) and the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL), but has also gained professional experiences in graphic design, animation film making, teaching, exhibition & event organisation and all sorts of other things. Since his University Diploma and move to Melbourne in early 2003 Satta's artistic weapon of choice became the spray can and his handcut stencils, which he uses on his mission for ‘Urban Beautification' and to create a diverse range of paintings and commissioned works. His first stencil - a clutched fist holding barbed wire - can still be seen around Fitzroy and other places in the city. Many more designs have followed since then. Satta's art has been exhibited in a number of solo and group exhibitions in Australia, Germany and France in recent years. His works also appears in a number of books, magazines and other print publications. Since 2004, Satta organises with JD Mittmann and the support of the local street art scene the highly successful Stencil Festival (www.stencilfestival.com) and an array of other street art events and exhibitions. In 2006 JD and Satta launched their street art agency 'pinXit - Arts & Events Management Agency' (www.pinxit.com.au). Find more of Satta's work on his website: www.stenc-o-rama.com
