Blue Velvet has 2 spaces suitable for theatre/stage/seminar shows along with front of house ticketing and cash register facilities. Both areas can sit 40 people. Data projectors and large screens are available in both spaces together with full PA facilities. A 2 metre x 1 metre portable intelli-stage is also available for use. The areas are separate and therefore different shows can be on at the one time. All theatre or other style-shows attract a nightly hire fee of $250. The venue will provide bar staff and security personnel as necessary. We open 1 hour prior to event start for bump-in, and close 1 hour after event concludes, leaving you 2 hours for performance and intervals. The duration of your event is 3 hours only excluding bump-in. The performer is to arrange for their own sound and lighting technician as required. Any props or special costumes need to be removed from the venue at the conclusion of each performance. Storage facilities are not available. The cost for rehearsal will be negotiated on an individual basis. Please note our venue is not to be used for racist, homophobic or anti-social performance. The venue reserves all rights of refusal. The performer is required to supply the venue with Public Liability insurance or indemnity or any other legal requirement of the festival organisers. We prefer to schedule these events between 6-9:30pm on any night of the week but other times by arrangement.
